If UNH Professor Has Her Way,
L.I. Sound Algae May Fuel a
Biodiesel Revolution

Carmela Cuomo, the coordinator of the Marine Biology Program at UNH, and her student researchers drew significant media attention this past Thurs., April 23, as they combed Long Island Sound for algae species, with the hope that certain types of algae may be converted to biodiesel fuel. The Stamford Advocate, Greenwich Times, Hartford Courant, Connecticut Post, WTNH-TV, NECN and other news outlets reported on the event and Cuomo's continuing research.  Photos & Video >> 		UNH Today
