A letter from Robert Hughes
I would first like to welcome everyone to our program and thank you for being proactive in filling out our online commitment form. This year promises to be our best ever with new and improved uniforms, great music, and a fun filled football schedule.
Like most things, before we can get rolling we need to take some time to start from the beginning...band camp! In an effort to answer some questions and ensure that the season gets off to a smooth start I would like to provide everyone with some important details about moving in. Move-in for everyone participating in the marching band program will be Monday, August 17th. Students can check-in at the Office of Residential Life from 8:30AM-4:30PM. Everyone will be able to move into their rooms for the year, so plan on bringing everything that you normally would on move-in day. Since this is going to act as your official move-in you will be required to be meningitis compliant and have your balance taken care of beforehand. The Office of Residential Life has been very accommodating to our camp schedule; as such I ask that you make every effort to be at camp on move-in day. We will not be able to accommodate early arrivals.
Once you are here you will be able to settle into your room until we meet as an ensemble for dinner. All meals will be covered from that point on. As we approach the beginning of camp you will received a detailed schedule along with a list of items you should acquire for camp!
Again, thank you for your commitment to our program I look forward to meeting you August 17th.
