Amanda Kehoe, a graduate of the University of New Haven, uses her skills in communication, marketing, and technical support to help the Career Development Center run more smoothly for the staff and students. Using her customer service skills she learned from five years with a retail company, she often talks to employers, on technical issues to make their experience with the University of New Haven more effortless.
Amanda took many classes at the University of New Haven dedicated to public relations, marketing, advertising, film, and journalism, which helped pave the way for her position in Career Development. She was a marketing intern with the Beckerman Recreation Center on campus before her graduation in 2014.
Born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, Amanda already feels like a Connecticut native since getting her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Haven. She was a student in the department of Communication, Film, & Media Studies, where she attained many accomplishments including the creation of a website from scratch, that is used to feature student work and promote student to student conversation on a variety of societal topics.
Amanda attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City where she studied method acting for stage and film for close to a year.
For the last twenty years, Amanda has been practicing the art of dance doing ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and many other styles, as well as her membership on the 5,6,7,8 Dance Team at the University of New Haven. She has been involved in many national competitions where she has multiple awards and special accolades.
Prior to this position Amanda was involved in sales and customer service for Gap Inc, teaching dance for the YMCA, and filling cannoli at an Italian Bakery.
