Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of New Haven! On behalf of the Orientation Staff we would like to welcome you to our community.
Before you start your amazing journey at the University of New Haven, you will be going through a two-day overnight summer orientation program known as Student Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR). SOAR is a mandatory, overnight orientation program where you will meet fellow classmates, familiarize yourself with University programs and services, and receive an overview of academic and student life. One of the perks of attending this program is that you will be given your Fall 2016 class schedule.
It is our job as the 2016 Orientation Co-Chairs to make sure you have a wonderful orientation experience. To help us make this possible, we have a staff of Orientation Leaders (OL’s). OL’s are current students who have enjoyed their experiences so far at the University and represent our diverse campus community. As an incoming student, you will be assigned an Orientation Leader who will help make your transition to the University as easy and as fun as possible.
Incoming first-year students create new and lasting friendships at SOAR and really enjoy their experience! The programs offered at SOAR are essential to a smooth transition and are a great jump start to your college experience. We are so happy to welcome you to our family, and we look forward to meeting you this summer. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit our website www.newhaven.edu/orientation. We look forward to seeing you this summer at SOAR!
The dates for the summer of 2016 SOAR program sessions are as follows:
June 16-17, June 20-21, June 23-24, June 27-28, July 7-8, July 11-12
Transfer SOAR dates are as follows:

We look forward to seeing you at SOAR!
