Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of New Haven! On behalf of the Orientation Staff we would like to welcome you to our community.
Before you start your amazing journey at University of New Haven, you will be going through an orientation program known as Student Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR). SOAR is a mandatory program that allows you to meet fellow classmates, familiarize yourself with University programs and services, as well as provide an oversight of academic and student life. One of the perks of attending this program is that you will receive your schedule of classes for the fall.
It is our job as the Orientation Staff to make sure you have a wonderful orientation experience. To help us make this possible, we have a staff of Orientation Leaders (OL’s). OL’s are current students who enjoy working for the University and represent the diverse campus community. As an incoming student, you will be assigned an Orientation Leader who will help make your transition to the University as easy and fun.
Many new students create new and lasting friendships at SOAR and we are planning a great time! The programs offered at SOAR are essential to a smooth transition and great jumpstart to your college experience. We are so happy to welcome you to our family and we look forward to meeting you this summer. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at Orientation@newhaven.edu, or visit our website www.newhaven.edu/orientation.
The dates for the summer of 2014 SOAR program sessions are as follows:
June 16-17, June 19-20, June 26-27, July 10-11, and July 14-15.
Transfer SOAR dates are as follows:
