The Undergraduate Student Government Association (USGA) is the organization responsible for representing the undergraduate student body at UNH. The USGA is an integral organization with varied functions and activities.
The president, treasurer, and senators are elected by the student body in a general election. The vice president, executive assistant, and sergeant-at-arms are appointed by the president.
The student activity fee paid by each undergraduate student is used to provide a number of social events, including concerts, comedy nights, lectures, films, cultural events, and other activities throughout the year which are open to the entire student body.
The USGA is also home to a large number of clubs and organizations of a social, cultural, or academic nature. The USGA is responsible for overseeing all student media, including: the Charger Bulletin, a weekly newspaper; The Chariot, the annual yearbook and SCOPE, Student Committee of Programming Events. Standing Committees of the USGA provide students further opportunities for involvement. The USGA meets weekly, and all students are encouraged to become involved in its legislative and governing processes.
