Director of Student Activities

The Director of Student Activities is responsible for the day to day operations of the Office of Student Activities and supervising the graduate assistants and student employees.  The Director is also responsible for initiating and coordinating campus wide programs, providing event planning assistance, and serving a resource for all UNH clubs and organizations.  The Director also advises The Undergraduate Student Government Association, SCOPE, Inter Fraternity-Sorority Council (IFSC), Chariot Yearbook and Charger Bulletin (campus newspaper). The Director also plays a vital role in the SOAR program (Orientation) both in facilitating the program and with hiring and supervising the Orientation Leaders.

Greg Overend has been the Director of Student Activities since August of 2003 when he joined the UNH community.  He graduated in 1993 from Eastern Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics and in 1996 gradated from Rider University with his masters in Human Services Administration.

Assistant Director of Student Activities               

The Assistant Director is responsible for coordinating leadership development opportunities for student leaders, clubs and organizations including the Leadership Education Achievement and Development (LEAD) three tiered leadership education program.  The Assistant also coordinates specialty months/weeks such as Alcohol Awareness, Safe Spring Break, Health and Wellness, and Women’s History.  Other responsibilities include Midnight Madness, Who’s Who Selection, and Welcome Wagon. 

Lisa Saverese joined the UNH community in the summer of 2007 as the Assistant Director of Student Activities.   In 2004 she graduated from Anna Maria College with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Human Services. She received her master’s degree in 2006 from Springfield College in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education.

Graduate Assistant

Kristi is a second year graduate student at UNH.  She is pursuing a Masters of Arts in Community Psychology with a concentration in Program Development.  Kristi received a Bachelor's of Science in Community Health, as well as, a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University.

Eric is a first year graduate student at UNH.  He is pursuing a Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.  Eric received a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from Minnesota State University.

Brittany is a first year graduate student at UNH.  She is pursuing a Master of Arts in Community Psychology.    

 Graduate Assistants are responsible for working with the director of student activities and work study students in coordinating activities and events for the campus.
