The mission of the Music LLC is to foster a sense of community and shared responsibility among the freshman music music majors in all four music degree areas. The Music LLC provides students with a built-in support system and better prepares students for a successful career at UNH. Bonded by similar interests, passions, academic studies and shared experiences the LLC students enjoy a greater degree of satisfaction and success in their major, and the UNH community as a whole.
The Music LLC also provides opportunities for students to get to know faculty in the department better, to socialize with each other, to express themselves creatively, to experience culture, music and art in the surrounding regions, to learn from professionals in their chosen fields and to serve the UNH and local communities. Typical events include trips to New York and Boston, guest speakers, workshops, concerts, open mics, social dinners and get-togethers, service events and studio tours. These events allow students to interact with each other, and with faculty, outside the typical UNH environment.
