If your customer number is not in Blackboard Learning System, you will see this:
Do not panic ! This is a correctable problem. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOUR ID CARD IS NOT VALID. Because you are logging into the Learning System to manage your card account, which is on the Blackboard Transaction system, it is possible your customer number is not in Learning System.
It does mean that that information needs to be added into the system manually, so please send an email to amacdougall@newhaven.edu, with a subject line of 'Enable Online Card Office'. Include your first and last name and the last 4 digits of your SSN or 9 digit student ID number.
If you see your account information when you log in, you will notice that your current account balance for Dining Dollars and Charger Cash is conveniently listed for you. You can also do the following: Deposit Funds, Check your Transaction History, Create Email Notifications, and Report Your Card Lost or Stolen (please use this carefully). You can also generate statements.
Deposits:
Step one: Click on the Deposits link.
Step Two: Change the Account drop down from the default- Dining Dollars - to Charger $ (unless you intend to deposit to Dining Dollars)
Step Three: Complete all required fields, including credit card information. The frame that the desposit information is collected in and the connection to the transaction server are protected by SSL and are secure. Because of the way frames work, you will not see the SSL lock at the bottom of the page.
Step Four: Enter a dollar amount (enter 00 for cents as deposits are in whole dollar amounts)
Step Five: Hit Submit
Step Six: Verify the information is correct and hit submit.
If your deposit was accepted you will see the following message:
If the deposit failed for any reason- such as incorrect credit card information, you will see the following generic error. We are working with Blackboard to improve these messages.

Deposits made online will show as 'COMMUNITY SYSTEM.'
Email Notifications
You can set the system to notify you when monthly statements are available and when a fund's account balance drops below an amount of your choosing.
Report Card Lost or Stolen
Use this with EXTREME CAUTION. When you click on the link the dialogue box will open. If you click OK, your card will no longer work and you will have to pay 10.00 to replace it.
