Black Solidarity Conference 2010 - "Progress is Personal: Erasing Complacency, Embracing Our Purpose"
The Black Solidarity Conference serves a forum for students of color to exchange ideas and opinions about pressing issues while providing an avenue for Black students to network with peers. The 2010 conference will be comprised of three days of debate, panels and workshops exploring the topic of modern racial progress and purpose by focusing on questions such as: how do we approach racial issues in a society that claims to be "post racial" and what is the place and purpose of our generation in the struggle for racial equality? The hope is that through this conference, and mostly through guided discussion, each student will gain a better understanding of their purpose in the modern world and be inspired to take positive active in their community.
