Why I Chose UNH

Everyone has a different reason for going to college. Each of us have taken a different path to get here. UNH is giving you the chance to recognize the person that has helped you most to get to where you are with our first “My College Search Role Model” YouTube Contest!

This is your opportunity to recognize your Guidance Counselor, favorite teacher, coach, or any other academic influence that has made a tremendous impact on you during your years in high school, and most importantly your search and selection of college.

The top 10 video submissions will receive a $50 Visa Gift Card!

The time is almost here! As you finish your senior year of high school, you and your friends begin a transition. In just a few short months you will begin your education at the University of New Haven!!!

This fall over 1,300 students will join the University of New Haven campus community as a part of the largest class ever enrolled; signifying the transformation of UNH as a leader in experiential education and providing strong liberal arts and career preparation of its students.

We know there are lots of reasons for choosing to attend UNH. Is it the location? Or maybe the small campus community? Is it possibly the tremendous career preparation and experiential education opportunities?

Now is your opportunity to show us YOUR reason for choosing UNH with the “Why I Chose UNH” YouTube Video Contest! If your video is selected, you will win $500 towards books for your first semester here at UNH!

Contest Rules
You must be a UNH Student to enter.

Your video should be between 30 seconds long and 2 minutes long.

The theme of your YouTube video should be either “Why I Chose UNH?” or "My College Search Role Model" Video with content that is inappropriate will not be considered

The Prizes
The entries will be judged by the Web Team based on how entertaining, informative, and on topic the video is. The creator of the winning video(s) will have the video featured on the ExperienceUNH YouTube Channel.

The top ten submissions for the "My College Search Role Model" will receive a $50 Visa gift card.
The winner of the "Why I Chose UNH?" will receive $500 towards books for first semester at UNH.

Submission
For the "My College Search Role Model" all Videos must be received by 4:30 PM Monday, June, 30, 2008 for consideration.

For the "Why I Chose UNH?" all Videos must be received by 4:30 PM Tuesday, August, 1, 2008 for consideration.

Your Video
Any video submitted may be used by the University on its Experience UNH Channel or in other media offerings.
