03/18/08 Update

Three Crime Alerts regarding a suspicious person and vehicle in the Campbell Ave. area have been sent out:

On 11-06-07 an Alert was sent regarding a W/M, approx. 30 years of age, with a mustache and goatee, operating a red Ford pickup truck. This subject approached a student at the bus stop in front of Shop Rite.

A vehicle of the same description was involved in a similar incident in West Haven on 11-1-07.

On 3-10-08 an Alert was sent regarding a W/M, late 30s, operating a red Pontiac Sunfire with a partial registration of __ __ 3 YUB. This subject stared at a student waiting at the bus stop in front of Shop Rite, and she stated that it appeared to be the same subject who approached her at that same bus stop in November, 2007, at which time he was operating a red Ford Ranger pickup truck.

On 3-18-08 an Alert was sent regarding a W/M, late 30s, operating a burgundy Pontiac bearing partial registration __ __ __ UYB. Near the intersection of Campbell Ave. and Spring St. this vehicle pulled up next to a female student and the operator was masturbating.

Thanks to information provided by alert UNH students a 47 year old New Haven resident was identified and has been arrested by the West Haven Police Dept. for Indecent Exposure and Breach of Peace. He owns a red Ford Ranger pickup truck and a red Pontiac Sunfire.

The subject is identified as Frank Richard.
