Parking for Persons with Disabilities

Connecticut State Law (Sec. 14-253a) restricts parking in designated Handicapped parking areas to those vehicles displaying a plate or placard issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles of this, or any other state or country. Vehicles in violation will be ticketed and are subject to immediate towing from campus at the owner's expense. Applications for a State of Connecticut Handicapped permit may be obtained from any office of the Department of Motor Vehicles or from the UNH Police Department.

Persons with a temporary disability may apply to the Department of Motor Vehicles for a temporary permit. The University is not authorized to grant permission for the use of these spaces.
