Policy on Harassment and Bias-Motivated Offenses
Any person who believes that he or she is being harassed, victimized, or otherwise subjected to discrimination because of race, ethnicity, ancestry, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or physical or mental disabilities, including learning disabilities, mental retardation, and past/present history of a mental disorder, or other similar characteristics, is encouraged to consult the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs.

The University of New Haven disciplinary bodies will investigate the motivation and intent in acts which injure persons or property and will consider enhanced sanctions when acts which involve harassment are found to be biased, discrimina-tory, or hate-driven.

Any member of the UNH community who believes that he or she has been subjected to sexual harassment may initiate a complaint, formal or informal,by contacting the university's Affirmative Action Officer. Please refer to the UNH Student Handbook for further details.
