Complete University Pre-Arrival Requirements
Just a few short assignments to help get your first year started out right. (These do NOT apply to upperclass transfer students.)
Just prior to arriving on campus, we ask that you complete a very important survey that will help our support staff gather important information about the Class of 2019. In addition, all first-year students must complete the Common Read before Opening Day.
The Common Read Program is designed to provide incoming first-year students with a shared experience that builds connections and invites inquiry. You will receive your Common Read text at your SOAR session this summer, where you will also participate in discussions designed to prepare you for this common reading experience.
This year's Common Read is The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, by Rebecca Skloot. Find out more about the book and access a library guide about the text.
Over the summer, you can participate in conversations about the book with other incoming first-year students on Facebook. Once you arrive to campus, you will learn about the exciting Common Read events planned for your first year at UNH. Be ready to take advantage of these opportunities to enhance your reading experience by completing the Common Read prior to Opening Day.
DEADLINE: You must complete the Common Read before Charge In (Thursday, August 20).
"Think About It" Online Course
All incoming first year students are required to complete an online education course that addresses the topics of alcohol, illegal drugs, and sexual misconduct. The first part of the course must be completed before your arrival, with subsequent follow ups due after your arrival on campus.
You will receive an email about the survey to your UNH email address in July, 2015.
