Attend Mandatory International Student Orientation

The International Services Office (ISO) hosts mandatory orientation for all international students attending the University of New Haven. In order to have your SEVIS record activated and your immigration status validated, all students must attend the immigration document check-in and international student orientation. 

The orientation sessions vary based on your status as an undergraduate or graduate student. Please make note of the dates below and plan to attend your orientation session.

New International Undergraduate Student Check-in, Placement Testing and Orientation – Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 9 am

  • Early immigration check-in for new international graduate students begins on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the ISO in Echlin Hall 200.
  • You must ensure your arrival at the University prior to 9 in the morning on Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
  • All students must bring their original immigration documents and clear copies
    • Passport, visa, I-94, all previous I-20s, including original I-20 or DS-2019
    • Family member's I-20s or DS-2019s, passport, visa, and I-94.
  • Check here for the most up-to-date Undergraduate Orientation Schedule.
  • What to Bring to Orientation (Be sure to bring original, official copies of all transcripts and a copy of diploma)
  • International Clubs and Organizations
  • International Student Handbook
  • Classes for undergraduate students begin on Tuesday, January 19, 2016.

New International Graduate Student Orientation – Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 9 am

  • Early immigration check-in for new international graduate students begins on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the ISO in Echlin Hall 200.

You must ensure your arrival at the University prior to 9 in the morning on Wednesday, January 13, 2016.

  • All students must bring their original immigration documents and clear copies
    • Passport, visa, I-94, all previous I-20s, including original I-20 or DS-2019
    • Family member's I-20s or DS-2019s, passport, visa, and I-94.
