Princeton Review 2017 BadgeOnly about 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges are profiled in “The Best 381 Colleges” guidebook, which was published today by the education services company. Distributed annually since 1992, book does not rank colleges but includes detailed profiles of the colleges, including student reviews.

The University of New Haven’s outstanding academics are the chief reason we chose it for this book,” said Robert Franek, Princeton Review's senior vice president-publisher and author of "The Best 381 Colleges." "We strongly recommend the university to applicants.

Selections are primarily based on data collected through annual surveys of administrators at several hundred four-year colleges, Franek said. “Additionally, we give considerable weight to observations from our school visits, opinions of our staff and our 24-member National College Counselor Advisory Board and an unparalleled amount of feedback we get from surveys of students attending these schools."

“The recognition of the University of New Haven by The Princeton Review is indicative of the vibrant academic reputation of the University and the momentum created by our talented professors, students and alumni,” said President Steven H. Kaplan. “Our cutting-edge programs provide many experiences for our students to create bold, new opportunities for themselves.”

The Princeton Review profile of the University praises it for faculty “who bring research experiences into each lecture and provide pertinent examples for everything. They are completely supportive and only want the best for their students.”
