The University of New Haven (UNH) Seton Art Gallery is proud to exhibit "Stray Terrain" by Yvette Brackman, a visual artist living and working in Denmark. She has studied art and art history at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Her work investigates the relationship between material production and social relations focusing on identity, displacement and borders. It explores the mixing of cultures in order to better understand ourselves in society.

Brackman lives and works in Copenhagen, where she was a professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 2000-2007. She works in many different media, including objects, video and photography. She has exhibited widely in Europe and the United States. Her work is an investigation of technology through the prism of global politics, the economy and the environment.
