A wide array of civic and fraternal organizations and nonprofit groups will set up booths and tables in the Old Grove, and the food court will showcase a string of local vendors.

The Department of Parks and Recreation will present its second Mark Romano Memorial Volleyball Tournament from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sea Bluff Beach courts and its annual bocce tournament at 9 a.m. at the Leo Kelly Bocce Courts in the Grove.

At 8 p.m., Big Shot, a Billy Joel tribute group from Long Island, N.Y., will perform choice cuts from the Piano Man’s extensive catalog of pop hits, including “Just the Way You Are,” “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song),” “My Life” and “Scenes From an Italian Restaurant.”

Fronted by singer Mike DelGuidice, Big Shot features a duo of Joel’s current band members, guitarist Tommy Byrnes and drummer Chuck Burgi, as well as Joel’s original saxophonist, Richie Cannata.

Mystery Tour, a Beatles cover band, will warm up the crowd at 6 p.m.

If it rains, Big Shot will play at the same time at Dodds Theater on UNH’s main campus, 300 Boston Post Road.

On July 28, Jason Heffernan will perform an acoustic set at 3 p.m., followed by the Sentinels at 4:30.

To help with expenses, the Savin Rock Festival Committee will sell polo shirts and T-shirts in the hospitality tent.

West Haven’s flagship festival was established in 1982 by the Chamber of Commerce, under the direction of John and Mary Perrone, to bring organizations, clubs, businesses and residents together.
