The University was selected by the Kern Family Foundation to receive a $75,000 grant over the next two years to develop classroom and co-curricular opportunities that foster an entrepreneurial mindset in engineering students. UNH joins a select group of institutions around the country in the Kern Entrepreneurship Education Network.

Initiatives funded by the grant will give students the opportunity to interact with professionals, visit corporate sites and take part in competitions. Maria-Isabel Carnasciali, assistant professor of systems and multidisciplinary engineering, and Jean Nocito-Gobel, associate professor of mechanical civil and environmental engineering, are leading the program.
