What:
The University of New Haven (UNH) English department will host a reading with poets Georgia Popoff and Quraysh Ali Lansana. The event is part of the UNH College of Arts and Sciences Arts@Night program which offers learning and enrichment to the community through the presentation of cultural events. The event is free and open to the public.

Details:
Popoff is known for her critical writings published in the New York Foundation for the Arts “Chalkboard” and the “Teaching Artist Journal.” She is also the author of two books of poetry, “Coaxing Nectar from Longing” and “The Doom Weaver.”
Lansana is the author of “They Shall Run: Harriet Tubman Poems” and “Southside Rain.” He is also the editor of “Glencoe/McGraw-Hill’s African American Literature Reader” as well as “I Represent” and “dream in yourself,” two anthologies of literary works from Chicago’s award-winning youth arts employment program.
