New Haven Register (May 6, 2013): "Will visit with a dog relieve test stress? Quinnipiac students' project to find out"'
UNH professor Melissa Whitson and her dog, a bichon-poodle mix, launched the program at UNH last semester to alleviate stress during final exam weeks. “You can sign up for specific times and essentially most of them sit and play with him, pet him and kind of relax and de-stress,” Whitson said Monday. “I hear a lot of them say while they’re visiting with him that they miss their own animals at home or want animals, so it’s been really positively received by students.”
