New Haven Register, January 28, 2012: Following the arrests of four East Haven police officers for alleged racial profiling, as well as Mayor Joseph Maturo Jr.’s “taco” comment that seemed to put the town in the spotlight even more than the arrests, how can the town move past it all? “I think it’s a town that wants change to occur. I think they’re ready to embrace change, and I think they’re ready to move forward,” said John DeCarlo, former Branford police chief and now a UNH professor.
