Institute for Study of Sport Incidents Established at Southern Miss’ NCS4

Sun Herald, November 3, 2011: UNH's Institute for the Study of Violent Groups (ISVG) will be working with the Mississippi Office of Homeland Security and The National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4) to establish the nation’s first Institute for the Study of Sport Incidents. Daniel Mabrey, executive director of the ISVG, said he’s excited about the partnership as it leverages ISVG’s existing technical and analytical infrastructure to help the new institute’s staff better understand the dynamics of violence and mischief at sporting events.
