Fire Protection Engineering

Introduction

The bachelor's degree in fire protection engineering from UNH's Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences provides students with a solid combination of engineering skills and fire science knowledge–elements necessary for a successful career in fire protection. Students begin with a firm foundation in mathematics, science, and engineering; then they apply what they have learned through practical experiences, according to the principles of fire protection engineering.  Program graduates are ready to be the critical thinkers and problem solvers required in the vital field of fire protection.

• The B.S. degree program in fire protection engineering applies multidisciplinary engineering principles to the problems of fire protection, teaching students how to design, construct, and install fire protection systems to prevent or minimize potential losses.
