Research

The creation of the University Research Scholar classification came about during the 2006-2007 academic calendar year. This appointment is for a three-year term. It is intended to recognize scholars for their special contributions to the university and their academic disciplines.

UNH’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows program is designed to engage students in the experience of applied research under the direct tutelage and mentorship of a faculty member.  The full process involves students crafting a research proposal, conducting a research project, and preparation and presentation of results in written and oral-presentation form at a research fair.  The program supports student engagement, experiential learning, persistence and mentoring.
