The Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of Connecticut, Inc. (WSWC) will host a kickoff for the WSWC 2010 College Public Service Announcement (PSA) Contest at the University of New Haven (UNH). Lieutenant Governor Michael Fedele, Jerry Farrell, commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, Lieutenant J. Paul Vance of the Connecticut State Police, UNH President Steven H. Kaplan and members of The Governor's Prevention Partnership will discuss the theme of the 2010 PSA competition, outline contest rules and show the winning PSAs from last year's competition.
UNH communication students took first place in the 2009 PSA contest; their PSA was chosen from 35 video entries created by students from four Connecticut universities. To view the 2009 award-winning PSA produced by UNH students go to: http://www.newhaven.edu/prospective/31089/.
