Mathematica®: What Is It and How Can It Help?
What: The University of New Haven (UNH) Tagliatela College of Engineering will host a public lecture entitled "Mathematica® in Education and Research" with Kelvin Mischo, senior sales engineer at Wolfram Research, Inc. Mischo is featured as part of the Fall 2010 Alvine Engineering Professional Effectiveness and Enrichment Program.
Mathematica® is a fully integrated software program that is used for simulations, modeling, visualizations and deployments. Mischo will discuss how Mathematica® can be used to facilitate teaching and research in several subjects including mathematics, physics, engineering and economics. This event is free and open to the public.

Details: Kelvin Mischo has been with Wolfram Research, Inc. for 12 years. He has spent more than 10 years working with universities to integrate Mathematica® into courses and research. He studied civil and electrical engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received his B.S. in psychology.
