West Haven, Conn., November 12, 2009 —New York City Fire Department Lieutenant and University of New Haven (UNH) alumnus Jeffrey Facinelli B.S ’99, has been selected as the 2010 Henry C. Lee Fellow.

The Henry C. Lee Fellow is selected by faculty members of the Henry C. Lee College, named for the world’s foremost forensic scientist and criminalist who began the forensics program in 1975. Recipients must have held at least a 3.2 GPA while a student at UNH and been heavily involved on the campus, and currently hold a successful post-graduate professional position. Facinelli has been a firefighter with the New York City Fire Department since 2000.

Facinelli, a Pomona, N.Y. resident, will receive his award on Friday, December 11, 2009, at 4:00 p.m., in the conference room at South Campus Hall, and will discuss how his experiences as a student at UNH prepared him for his professional life. A reception will follow the award ceremony.
