What
The University of New Haven (UNH) College of Business will host a lecture entitled "Growth Effects of Sectoral Distribution of Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions on Host Countries: A GMM Estimation" with Dr. Nadia Doytch, assistant professor and research forums director in the Department of Economics and Finance. The lecture is part of the College of Business Research Forum series. This event is free and open to the public.

Doytch will analyze whether the mergers and acquisitions mode of entry of multinational enterprises benefit or hurt host countries' economies. She will examine the data by breaking down cross-border mergers and acquisitions sales into primary sectors, including manufacturing and financial services, and will consider each category's impact on aggregate growth.

Details
Doytch received her Ph.D. in economics from The Graduate Center, The City University of New York. Her research interests span a wide area of topics in economic growth, sustainable development and international macroeconomics. Her expertise and areas of focus include studying growth effects, employment effects and determinants of international capital flows, links between capital flows and climate change and capital flows and inequality. She has presented at several seminars and conferences including the Eastern Economic Association, Midwest Economic Association, Midwest Finance Association, Southwestern Finance Association and Eastern Finance Association.
