Details
During "A Flea in Her Ear," Yvonne mistakenly believes that her husband Victor is having an affair. To prove her suspicions, Yvonne writes an anonymous letter to Victor, requesting a romantic rendezvous at a disreputable hotel, resulting in mistaken identities and general mayhem. Feydeau's original play, "La Puce à loreille," was written in 1907 at the height of the Belle Époque in France. The first American production was an updated translation during the spring of 1967 at the Loeb Theater in Cambridge, Mass. There has also been a televised adaption, a 20th Century Fox feature film, and a brief run on Broadway.

"A Flea in Her Ear" will be directed by Robert Boles, head of the UNH Theatre Program and an award-winning actor and playwright. The set for the production was designed by UNH alumna, Sara Kekacs ‘08, with Seton gallery Director Vladimir Shpitalnik serving as design advisor. Student crew members include stage manager Nicole Boisso '09, assistant technical director and assistant lighting designer Matthew Perreira '09, Peter Orlowski '10, in charge of sound, and Brian Merrifield '10, in charge of props. Ben Baker (formerly of the Long Wharf Theatre), is the technical director, and Daniel Gookin, master electrician at the Long Wharf Theatre, is the production's lighting designer.

Admission is free for all UNH faculty, students, and staff with valid ID. The cost is $5 for non-UNH students with valid ID and $10 for the general public. For more information, contact Robert Boles at 203-479-4512 or rboles@newhaven.edu.
