Embracing Joie De Vivre: Students Travel
To France for Two UNH Courses
Seven UNH students visited France from May 19 to May 30 for two summer session courses, World War II and Art History. They were led by English Department Practitioner-in Residence Dr. David Perry. Their WWII course was taught from the battlefields of Normandy and the art history course from the ramparts of Le Mont Saint Michelle to the Louvre in Paris. The students, who lived in a historic French castle for 10 days, received six credits for their work. Participants, pictured above, included Andrew Katrenya, sophomore; Mike Milum, sophomore; Madison Soldano, sophomore; Karina Robinson, sophomore; Louis Faiella, senior; Yessenia Vargas, junior; Dr. Perry and Sara McGuire, junior. Dr. Perry plans to develop a six-week summer program based in France. For more information regarding this trip, please contact David Perry at 860-701-5458.
