Campus Screening of Fahrenheit 451 Part of Big Read Initiative

A screening of and discussion about the film Fahrenheit 451 will take place from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10 in Kaplan Hall, Room 203 as part of UNH's involvement in the national Big Read initiative. English faculty members Wes Davis and Holly Salmon will lead the discussion. Earlier that day, West Haven students, who have read the book, will be on campus to take part in a group discussion. They will also view the film in the evening.

The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services designed to revitalize the role of literature in American culture and bring the transformative power of literature into the lives of its citizens. The Big Read brings together partners across the country to encourage citizens to read for pleasure and enlightenment.  The Big Read - Greater New Haven is co-presented by The International Festival of Arts & Ideas and the Connecticut Library Consortium.
