A Community of Artists

The town of Old Lyme has long been a popular colony for artists, and Lyme’s campus housing is central part of that community. It is designed to bring aspiring artists together to study their craft and to share their passion for art.

Find Inspiration in the Landscape

Nestled in the heart of the Connecticut River Valley, Old Lyme offers the perfect setting for artists looking to devote themselves to their creative and academic studies. You'll have easy access to the studios and a wide variety of places in and around town that will stimulate your imagination.

By living in our campus housing or in one of the many options in an around Old Lyme, you’ll have immediate access to the natural beauty of the shoreline, including three beaches and countless parks and forests for hiking, cycling, rock climbing, and boating. The opportunities to create truly are limitless.

Most importantly, your classmates, who will become your toughest – and most valuable – critics, will never be far away. You’ll learn from each other and challenge each other to take your work to a higher level than you ever imagined.
