"Found Guilty, Finding Guilt: Effects of a Standardized Victim Impact Curriculum for Inmates"
Synopsis:
UNH faculty member Christopher Sedelmaier will discuss victim impact education programs in the prison setting. Topics will include a brief recent history of such programs, discussion of the goals of victim impact education and the curricula used, and the results of recent research in the area. No knowledge of correctional programming is necessary.
Biographical Information:
Christopher Sedelmaier is an assistant professor of criminal justice at the University of New Haven. Coming to the university after completing a doctorate in criminal justice at Rutgers University, he has been involved in several research projects with state and local criminal justice agencies. His primary research interests include crime prevention and crime analysis.
