The Marvin K. Peterson Library carries the following newspapers in print. If they are also available in microform, in a database, or from a website, that information is also noted.
New Haven Register:
Print: The current two weeks is available at the library circulation desk.
Website: http://www.nhregister.com/. Free registration provides access to an archive that dates back to 1999. Access via the "Search Site" box at the top of the screen. Obituaries are searchable back to April 2000.New York Times:

Associated Press (AP) Photo Archive
The AP Photo Archive is a database of international and North American photographs and graphics such as maps, logos and illustrations from the Associated Press from 1826-present.
Comprehensive periodical resource with more than 60 million database records. More than 11,000 titles, backfile coverage from 1980, and an intuitive search interface make this a useful source for most popular, business, and professional topics.
A general purpose database that provides the full text of international journals and newspapers. You can search for information by type of publication (newspapers, transcripts, magazines, blogs, etc.), or by geographic area. This database includes the following modules to help focus your searching: General, News, Legal, Business and People (biographical) sections.
ProQuest Historical Newspapers
Available through ProQuest Direct. An online collection of historical newspapers, including the Christian Science Monitor (1908-1993), Hartford Courant (1764-1922), Los Angeles Times (1881-1985), New York Times (1851-2003), Wall Street Journal (1889-1989), and Washington Post (1877-1990). The Historical Hartford Courant is also available via iCONN (www.iconn.org).
Note: The Hartford Courant - Historical is not automatically selected if you click on the "ProQuest Historical Newspapers" link, above. If you would like to search Hartford Courant - Historical as well, you must click on "select multiple databases," then on the next screen check the box next to "ProQuest Historical Newspapers Hartford Courant 1764-1922."
