Our catalog uses the Library of Congress (LC) classification system and subject headings. LC assigns call numbers (letters and numbers) according to the book's primary subject.
Choose the type of search you want by selecting from among the many options offered: keyword, subject, author, title, etc. Then place the cursor in the find this box and type in the words you want to search.

Reference books can be used only in the library; circulating books can be borrowed. Please note that some books are also available online. The Peterson Library has been a Federal Depository Library since 1971, and many of your catalog searches will turn up government publications. Many resources are available online; click on Linked Resources to check for the online availability of a particular item. For catalog items with the [U.S. Gov't Docs] location that are not online, come to the Information Desk for staff assistance.

Journals at the MKP Library on the home page is a listing of most of the periodical titles, current and historical, to which you have access through the library. Formats of journals include print, microform and electronic (online).
To find:
♦Single journals or articles
Type the title of the journal into the top search box. Results will show which databases contain the journal electronically and give you a list of available issues to search through.
Available UNH Library Holdings are also given to enable you to find and/or copy the article in the library. Current and older issues of most of our print periodicals, interfiled in a single alphabetical arrangement, are on the lower level.
Ask for current newspapers and microform holdings at the Circulation Desk.
♦Lists of journals by keyword or subject
Use the top search option, with the drop-down box set to Title contains all words and search with title keywords (e.g., travel*, touris*, restaurant*, hospitalit*, etc. [*= truncation here]).
You can also select a subject category (lower drop-down search box) and select subjects like Business & Economics and the listed subcategories.

Business
Provides news, analysis and information on businesses and regional market areas published in hard-to-find local and regional publications.
Abstracts and some full text from national and international business and management journals, as well as company and executive profiles.
Provides articles and information from periodical publications with a trade and industry focus (including market trends) in many market sectors such as construction, hospitality, tourism, transportation, travel and more.
The full text, online version of the print sources. You can search state and federal laws and regulations, National Labor Relations Board decisions, analysis and commentary.
Business and Company Resource Center
A database of company profiles, brand information, market intelligence, rankings, financials, investment reports, histories and industry news going back twenty years. Includes information from Brands and their Companies, and Business Rankings Annual.
Reports and data on business management and economic issues produced by the Conference Board. Topics include e-business, consumer research, travel, and branding, and cover international business.
Directory of Corporate Affiliations
A business directory, this database of company information includes parent/subsidiary relations, is searchable by company size, amount of business done, and SIC & NAICS (Standard Industrial Classification & North American Industrial Classification) codes.
Emerald Fulltext is a collection of articles from journals in management, including Hospitality & Tourism Management.
National and international coverage. Find industry analyses, information on a company's location, summary financials, top competitors, top officers, and more.
Business information, including company profiles, company histories, market intelligence, news stories, names of executives, and financial information.
Information on business, accounting, industry, company financial data, country data, economic data, and trade show information.
Includes SEC data, also available online at the SEC EDGAR site, as well as in LexisNexis - Business. Mergent (formerly Moody's) analyzes corporations and institutions, providing history, properties, management and financial data (updated via news reports).
These timely and useful National Bureau of Economic Research publications can be downloaded. We also have the print publications in the Circulation Stacks. HB1.A2 N3
The OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) publishes reviews of member countries' economic situations as well as those of selected non-member countries, focusing on the economic history and conditions of each country examined.
Directory listings of U.S. companies. Includes parent and subsidiary relations between companies and lists small companies not included in the larger databases.
STAT-USA.
Includes SOTN (State of the Nation), NTDB (National Trade Data Bank) and GLOBUS. Contains domestic and international trade and market information, including country-specific information, industry-specific information and industry-country information, as well as economic indicators. The World Factbook, U.S. Global Trade Outlook, A Basic Guide to Exporting, Background Notes, Business America, and Country Commercial Guides are some of the publications that are available in full text.

USA Trade Online.
A database of domestic import and export information.

Legal
Items are image-based, fully-searchable and provide comprehensive coverage from the inception of each publication. HeinOnline has four major library collections: Law Journal Library, Federal Register Library, Treaties and Agreements Library, and the U.S. Supreme Court Library.
An index of more than 1,400 titles including law reviews, legal newspapers, bar association journals and international legal journals. LegalTrac also contains law-related articles from over 1,000 additional business and general interest titles.
Includes text from law reviews and primary sources of the law.
Multidisciplinary (including business topics)
A database of international and North American photographs and graphics such as maps, logos and illustrations from the Associated Press.
Berkeley Electronic Press (bepress)
Peer-reviewed journals, working papers and other scholarly information offered for free downloading (with free registration). Includes journals in economics, business and marketing.
Maps, global economic and demographic data by country and region. Useful for business, marketing, tourism research.
Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
Includes journals in Business and Economics.
FirstSearch.
Provides access to many databases such as Dissertations from North America and Europe, EconLit, and more. Disclosure is also available directly via the database. Available in the library only. Ask at the Information Desk for password, if needed.
Gale Virtual Reference Library E-Books
Access to several multi-volume reference resources, including the following Gale encyclopedias: Small Business; U.S. Economic History.
Health & Wellness Resource Center
Provides instant access to medical reference materials, many of which provide information on health issues in travel and tourism.
Homeland Security Digital Library
The HSDL provides access to U.S. policy documents, presidential directives, and national security documents, as well as theses and reports from academic institutions and local and state organizations.
InfoTrac OneFile and Academic OneFile
Two multidisciplinary databases that provide access to citations, abstracts and lots of full text articles from journals and newspapers. IOF includes popular publications, while AOF focuses more on academic titles.
IRIS (Illinois Researcher Information Service)
A database of funding, grant and scholarship opportunities in all fields. Includes useful links to other sites, and provides online guides to grant writing. You can sign up for an e-mail alert service.
The default, general section includes the full text of newspapers and magazines from around the world.
The Reference section provides biographical information on business and political leaders, international country information (including Walden Country Reports), surveys and polls, and state profiles.
The statistical tables include over 30,000 tables from U.S. and international, government, trade and professional organizations, covering most topics.

ProQuest Education Journals; Wilson Education Abstracts
Indexes and abstracts periodical literature in the field of education. Contains over 550 titles with nearly 300 in full text.

Index with full text of APA (American Psychological Association) journals back to the 1980s.
Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection
Mostly full text of non-APA (American Psychological Association) periodical literature from the 1970s on. Includes book reviews, conference proceedings and reports.
Index to psychological literature with some abstracts from 1887 to the present. A citation in this database will link to the full text, when available, in any EBSCOhost database, such as PsycARTICLES or the Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection.
Business directory that provides the most current information on millions of businesses nationwide, including small businesses not listed elsewhere. The database allows you to search by company name, size, sales, SIC or NAICS code, and geographic area.
An index to books, journals, reviews, conference proceedings and videos published by Elsevier.
