The Conference Board is a non-profit, independent organization doing original research and analysis in the area of business and economics. This information is of interest to students and researchers in many areas, including national security, travel and tourism, business, management, accounting, human resources, organizational structure, public policy and more. The Peterson Library has many Conference Board publications in its collection, and also provides online access to publications via the Conference Board database.

The database is available from the library's home page.  If you are away from the library, you may access the database from the library's home page via the proxy connection. To use the proxy connection: First, click on the Proxy Connection link. Your username is your UNH ID number, which is the 16-digit number at the bottom of your UNH photo ID. (On newer ID cards, this number will be on the back.)

The Conference Board's research and analysis of key business and economic topics includes annual surveys on top executive compensation, corporate contributions, directorship compensation and board practices, data and more. The current issue of annual surveys is available online. Older issues may be available in our print collection. (Check our catalog.)

A link to the Conference Board web site provides news, lists of upcoming events and conferences, a link to the Conference Board of Canada site, and other publications not included in the database. Publications can be ordered from the website, but first check our catalog and the database to see if the publication is already available to you. The "Library Relations" link elaborates on what the subscription includes.

The research is divided into these main sections (on the left-hand side of each page): Business Management Research, The Conference Board Review Articles (2000-2007), Annual Studies, Economic Research, and Canadian Publications. There is also a link to past Webcasts. Select the link you want. Remember that what is not online may be available in our print collection. (Again, check our catalog.)

When searching, it does not matter whether you use capital or small letters for your search terms, as the search engine is not case sensitive. Use quotation marks to enclose phrases, and type the Boolean operators AND, OR, or NOT in capital letters.
