Stephen Morin, M.A.
Stephen J. Morin was named vice president for University advancement in December of 2014.
As vice president, he oversees fundraising, alumni relations, donor relations and communications. He joined the University from Suffolk University, where he served as senior vice president for advancement since 2012. At Suffolk, he restructured the advancement office and built a team that boosted giving from trustees (up 105 percent), alumni (up 103 percent), faculty and staff (up 35 percent) and other stakeholders.
Previously, he held a variety positions at Boston University, beginning as a development associate in the School of Management in 1997. He assumed increasingly important roles at BU before being named assistant vice president for school development, a position he held from 2010 to 2012. In that capacity, he helped plan and execute major giving initiatives, including a $1 billion campaign, while overseeing the restructuring of the development offices at BU’s nine schools and colleges.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Bates College and holds a master’s degree in political science from Northeastern University.
