About Robert

I am a lifetime resident of Connecticut. I lived in West Haven, Connecticut until I received my undergraduate degree. Then, I spent the first 5 years of my professional life in the West Haven Public School system where I held a variety of teaching, coaching, and administrative positions. I then transitioned out of teaching by doing a year of sales. My remaining professional life was with Norden Systems, which developed and manufactured radar systems for the United States military and its allies. In 1988, I began my adjunct faculty career and have taught in several local colleges and universities.

Personal Statement

In my mind, there is nothing like the pursuit of knowledge. It has been my great privilege to be involved in various aspects of it most of my adult life. The excitement and environment of the classroom is very special to me. Couple that with the topic of politics and it doesn’t get any better. Politics is the basis of everything that goes on in our country. Why would I not want to be involved and have a voice in the system that permeates our entire life from birth to death? When I see the light go on in students' faces, it all becomes worth it.

Most of my research has been wrapped up in the events surrounding the assassination of President John Kennedy. It has been the topic of my thesis, which was used as a text for a course that I wrote and taught at Albertus Magnus College. I also was a guest at Housatonic Community College’s Lunchtime Lecture series where I spoke on the topic.

Currently, I am a member of the Economic Development Commission in my hometown. Previously, I have worked for the Democratic Town Committee in New Haven.
