Research Interests

My research focuses on the information available from minerals and mineral assemblages when analyzing and interpreting geological materials. Specific areas of application that I am interested in include metamorphosed mineral deposits, gem deposits, and environmental geoscience. I am currently developing the technology and methodology for applying Raman Spectroscopy to routine mineral identification – a basic investigative requirement for all fields of investigation that work with geological materials.
