Mr. O’Connor served on the New Haven Fire Department for thirty years and retired as chief of the department in 1998. He is a licensed attorney in Connecticut and an ordained deacon of the Archdiocese of Hartford. Mr. O’Connor also serves as the campus chaplain, faculty advisor to the President’s Public Service Fellowship, and faculty member of the university’s committee on community service.
