Lyn Chamberlin, MFA


Lyn became vice president of marketing & communications at the University of New Haven on August 1, 2016.

Chamberlin will lead the effort to significantly expand the national and regional visibility of the university’s rapidly growing impact and reputation. She will oversee a new division, providing leadership in the key areas of marketing, branding, advertising, public relations and public affairs.

“Lyn’s wealth of experience across all aspects of marketing, communications, public affairs, branding and positioning will inform our efforts to further define and promote the University of New Haven’s brand,” said President Steven H. Kaplan, under whose leadership the university has made extraordinary progress during the past decade.

Chamberlin previously served as the vice president for marketing and communications at Sarah Lawrence College. She successfully led the efforts to strategically reposition and rebrand the historic liberal arts college located in Bronxville, N.Y.

Chamberlin previously was vice president for external affairs at Vermont College of Fine Arts, and she has held key positions at Harvard University, Radcliffe College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

She also has been director of television programming at  The Christian Science Monitor , a senior producer with Westinghouse Broadcasting and a producer with NBC in Washington, D.C.

Chamberlin holds a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a master’s degree from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
