Mr. Baage had multiple productive careers with the Government of Canada, the World Customs Organization (an intergovernmental international organization) and the United Nations (Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate of the Security Council) covering multiple themes in border security and counter-terrorism at the operational, management and policy-making levels in national, regional and international settings. He worked extensively in the fields of counter-terrorism and homeland security and brings with him comprehensive knowledge of current applicable international norms and recommended practices developed by specialized international and regional organizations.
His interest in joining faculty at the University focuses on transmitting his knowledge and vast experience in these matters to future practitioners and policy-makers in a way that nurtures critical thinking, expands horizons and contributes to professional development.
