What do you think makes the University of New Haven DH program unique?
"The dental hygiene faculty and various clinical experience opportunities make this program a very unique experience. The faculty are amazing and the numerous external clinical rotations and study away opportunities really make for a well-rounded dental experience."
What do you like most about the profession of dental hygiene?
"I love educating patients about their oral health and seeing them take control of that aspect of their healthcare. Too often, dental care is seen as a luxury or cosmetic. Seeing the “light bulb” go off with patients (and students) about the importance of good oral health and the implications on their overall health is what I like the most."
