Professor Collura joined the faculty of UNH in 1987 as Director of the new Chemical Engineering program, guiding it through its initial ABET accreditation in 1994, which resulted in full accreditation.
In addition to teaching Chemical Engineering, he spearheaded the development and implementation of the College’s unique Spiral Curriculum. This 2-year sequence of multidisciplinary courses is required for all engineering students at UNH and develops a broad, solid foundation in a variety of engineering disciplines. Dr. Collura is also a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Pennsylvania. His industrial experience includes research in coal liquefaction and wastewater treatment as well as process development for chemicals manufacturing. Dr. Collura holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Lafayette College.
