Sally Anastos directs the University’s Academic Service-Learning initiative and spends most her time establishing and maintaining partnerships between faculty and community-based organizations, leading the University’s Service-Learning Scholars faculty program and other faculty development seminars, and supporting faculty in the creation of service-learning courses. In addition, Sally manages the Academic Service-Learning Advisory Board and is creating an assessment mechanism to measure the impact of service-learning on UNH students. Sally teaches one service-learning course; Freshman Experience.
Prior to joining UNH, Sally worked at United Way of Greater New Haven and lead The Youth Philanthropy Project; a youth leadership program for regional high school students, managed municipal and education workplace campaign accounts, and assisted in the community investment process. She also served as an AmeriCorps*VISTA with the Massachusetts Campus Compact at Bentley College’s Service-Learning Center.
Sally has a Master of Science from The New School for Social Research in Nonprofit Management and is a graduate of Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts in Public and Community Service.
Meghan Amato is the University’s first AmeriCorps*VISTA, serving as an Academic Service-Learning Associate on campus. As an AmeriCorps*VISTA, Meghan assists the Director of Academic Service-Learning in strengthening campus-community partnerships, faculty development seminars, and outcomes assessment. Meghan serves as a resource for service-learning by helping students, faculty, and community organizations facilitate communication and generate connections through an exchange of knowledge, resources, and opportunities. In addition, Meghan assists with the creation and development of service-learning literature and materials to educate faculty, community partners, and students about the advantages of service-learning. Meghan is a graduate of Quinnipiac University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
Megan Crawford is the University’s 2009-2010 AmeriCorps*VISTA, serving as an Academic Service-Learning Associate on campus. Megan works with the Director of Academic Service-Learning to provide opportunities for students, faculty and community partners to unite in service-learning endeavors that improve the community and enhance the academic learning experience.
Along with developing and strengthening university and community partnerships, Megan is working with the Financial Aid office to develop a strong Federal Work Study community program that will provide more service-learning opportunities and encourage student and nonprofit participation. In addition, Megan assists in maintaining the service-learning website and in the creation of service-learning publications and educational materials. Megan is a graduate of Alma College and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish.
Corrianne Dionne is the Academic Service Learning Assistant and is also the Director of Projects for the Experiential Education club. Corrianne assists with generating student involvement through Facebook, radio shows, and many other forms of outreach. She has participated in an Academic Service-Learning course and the Junior Achievement Program at Thompson Elementary School. She is also an active member in the American Criminal Justice Association and participates in intramural sports at the university.
Corrianne is a sophomore and is pursuing a Bachelor of Criminal Justice in Investigative Studies.
