The University's Career Services Office offers employment-related services to the university community. Among these are career counseling, advising, on-campus employment interviewing and extensive information about job opportunities. Administrative and recruiting offices are located in Kaplan 210.
Career Services
To assist students in making appropriate career choices, individual/group counseling is available and is supplemented by several office resources. Special workshops on resume preparation, interviewing skills and job research techniques are scheduled in both the fall and spring semesters.
Career Services provides on-line resume reviewing and job search techniques to our students and alumni by emailing us at jobs@newhaven.edu.
Student Employment
During each academic year, employer representatives visit the campus to interview graduating University of New Haven students. While the Career Services Office is not an employment service and does not guarantee jobs, extensive listings of both full- and part-time positions are also maintained to provide a common meeting ground for employers and prospective employees. Students will find this useful, both in locating part-time and full-time jobs while in school, as well as employment following graduation. Although the Career Services Office is largely a resource for entry-level positions, alumni seeking positions are encouraged to explore the services of the office as well.
Employers wishing to list positions need only phone, write, fax, or e-mail, giving a description of the position available and other details. There is no placement fee charged for these services. We can be reached by phone at (203) 932-7491 or fax (203) 931-6057
