Project Lead the Way Inc. (PLTW) is a national program forming partnerships among Public Schools, Higher Education Institutions and the Private Sector to increase the quantity and quality of engineers and engineering technologists graduating from our education system.
The program offers a hands-on, project-based approach to learning that better prepares students for the rigors of college. The program incorporates science, technology skills, engineering and math (STEM curriculum) needed for success. Currently PLTW is offered in 50 states and the District of Columbia.
University of New Haven is the affiliate university for PLTW in the state of Connecticut providing teacher training, PLTW certification for CT schools, college credit for students, graduate college credit, and professional development for teachers.
Schools wishing to join PLTW can do so by visiting the PLTW website.
