DocuWare Voice Recognition

Team Members: Samuel Perreault and Joseph Ricci (Cyber Systems); Arianna Conti, and Donald Sbabo (Computer Science)

Faculty Advisor: Frank Breitinger, Ph.D.

Industry Advisor:  Erik Blair, DocuWare Scrum Master

Sponsor: DocuWare, one of the world’s leading document management software companies

Goal: To create a user-friendly program that can retrieve documents with specified parameters dictated by the user using voice commands. The program will handle voice recognition of the user, parse through the input string, and return parameters the user specifies. These parameters will coincide with the current input fields of the DocuWare website. The command will then open the URL of the document the user specified in the web interface, or download the corresponding PDF file.

Campus App

Team Members: Trevor Haigh, James Hebert, and Brandon Knieriem (Computer Science)

Faculty Advisor: Frank Breitinger, Ph.D.

Goal: To create a dedicated communication platform for the University of New Haven and more. The app will allow students to stay up to date on campus events without having to sort through various irrelevant e-mails. Furthermore, it will allow students to quickly send their GPS location and the location of an event in question, or even just locate where a building is. The development team will use the Xamarin Framework; a mobile platform for iOS and Android development.
