Spring Commencement 2018

The University of New Haven will celebrate the dedication and the many achievements of its newest graduates at its 2018 Spring Commencement on Saturday, May 12, 2018. The ceremonies will take place at the Toyota Presents Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford.

All students (both undergraduate and graduate) will participate in their College's ceremony, as listed below. Students are assigned based on their primary major as listed in Banner.

10:00 a.m. Ceremony, Honoring:

  • Graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences and Tagliatela College of Engineering
  • Frances Padilla, president of Universal Health Care Foundation of Connecticut (speaker and honorary degree recipient)
  • Baron Carlo Amato, a renowned business executive (honorary degree recipient)
3:30 p.m. Ceremony, Honoring:
  • Graduates of the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences and College of Business
  • Paul Heth, a global media entrepreneur (speaker and honorary degree recipient)
  • Patricia Melton, president of New Haven Promise (honorary degree recipient)
  • Allison Schieffelin, CEO and president of The Lighting Quotient (honorary degree recipient)
